Why would you need an extra or spare pump if there so good :-laf :-laf

BTowler, why are you getting new fuel module? The only problem with mine was the corroded 90-degree elbows that allowed air to get sucked into fuel. The dealer wanted $409 for a new module... or I could fix my problem with Draw Straw. Tank needed to come down either way, and extra work to install draw straw not significant on top of that.

Well i didn't want to share my thoughts on this post, but it looks like i got drawn into it. I just got a call this morning from a guy who wanted a FASS for his 06 dodge. I explained with him the pros and cons with the FASS and mentioned all the problems i have had with them. I then mentioned that the Walbro was a better pump for our trucks and i tried to mention the pros. This guys yells at me and asks, "Do you know who this is?, and i say "I'm sure this is Brad Ekstein, and he says yes and rants and raves how i'm such a bad guy for telling customers that the Walbro is better than his FASS. Did i get my butttt chewed!!!! Then i went on with the conversasion how the FASS pumps are not intended to run at higher pressures and how a little Walbro will sustain over 900 HP and the Fass has to be upgraded several times to manintain 900 HP. The FASS 95 is good up to 550 HP on the 3rd gens in my opinion. The Walbro is MUCH quieter and the parts that are sent are better quality aqnd the springs on the bypass are set correctly. The FASS springs are never right and it everything on the pump has to be fixed by the dealers at their cost. I thought it was comical really. I think that the Walbro is really steaming Brad. The Walbro is much easier to install, works better, cheaper, and doesn't have any little problems to drive you batty. Above all, you can't beet the custumer service that Richard Martin provides at Glacier Diesel.

I think that say's it all!! FASS left me walking mile's from home and it was only a week old. #@$%!

Tim,

My fuel gauge is way off and needs replacing. If I can get in and out real quick, I can use the gantry crane at my wife's work to lift the bed saving alot of hassle. This way I can have everything ready to go, measure and cut the draw straw and put it all back together real quick.
