Just curious where everyone has been mounting the FASS pump/filters? Does everyone use the recommended spot in the directions (drivers side infront of rear wheel outside of frame rail)?

Pictures would be great if a different location was used.

Thanks

ON my 2002 3500 Quad, I have the Fass mounted on frame up high almost even with fuel tank on drivers side, just a little lower so intake has down flow. I can get to filters very easy.

Cant help it. That installation deserves compliments. - Wow, that's a nice setup. Makes me want to change my standards. Just LOTS of time and bucks to do work like that. But hey, its artwork.

Back to the original question, the recommended location seems to be working for most people. Since mine is a shortbed, needed to mount it on the cab support instead of a bed support which i think is the standard recommended way to go. Just take your time and do it right, itll save you a lot of work down the road.

I found it really helpful to add a valve by the VP44 to purge air out of the system. Havent had the valve long, but have already used it alot.

monkeyman, your installation is still outside the framerail?

Shortshift, when would the valve be needed? After a filter change?

Thanks
