oil test

City Diesel, great company!

Above all else, I'd make sure and Simple Green and hose the top area of the tank really well a day before I was going to do any line removal. Then maybe some compressed air. If you dont take the bed up or off, you can get the connectors off... but you probably cant see if any dirt is on the nipple upon reinstallation... which could make for a sealing problem or contaminate something. Just a thought.

It is easier with the bed off, or "up" LOL

Rob, you're disgusting! :D

Greg

ps What kind of discharge pressure are you getting, and where do you tap in?

Fuel pressure gauge

Since this eliminates the factory fuel filter (am I correct); that is where I have my fuel pressure gauge plumbed, where are you guys plumbing (attach) for your fuel pressure gauge. I really like this Fass system and plan to go this route. Just trying to nail everything down. Thanks.

heater?

Does the FASS have a fuel heater? I thought that I had read that it has an attachment to run coolant through the FASS to warm the fuel but that really does not help after truck has over night in the winter. Is there an electric heater too or one that could be added or does it not really matter?

Thanks

J-

When I spoke with DPP about the FASS back in August I was told that there was an electric fuel heater on the unit, but that it was not necessary to hook up.

 Electric heater in a FASS:confused: Hmmmmmmmm I don't thinks so. I've got my FASS hooked up and the only electrical hook up is for the pump. Any heat to the unit is provided by a separate line run from either the cooling loop of the truck or the oil loop to draw heat into the FASS body via conduction. It does not have an electrical heater, unless someone is now offering a redesigned unit. ;)

I'm pretty sure that I was informed there was at the time I spoke with them in August. The reason I brought it it was because I wanted to eliminate everything between the FASS and the injection pump and the fuel heater was in the way. Then I was told there was one on the FASS. Maybe I misunderstood that part of the converstaion?????
