GENTS,

SOON I WILL PUT ON A COMPLETE FASS SYSTEM AND WHILE IM DOING THIS ARE THERE ANY GOOD IDEAS THAT OTHERS HAVE DONE, WITH REPLACING FITTINGS BANJO-BOLTS ETC, TO THE BIGGER FASTER FLOW. CONNECTIONS ETC. IVE SEEN SOME OF THE STUFF VULCAN HAS AND SOME MEMBERS IS THIS WORTH IT OR JUST A WASTE OF $.

THANKS

SOON I WILL PICK UP SMOKING AND I THINK I WILL LIKE THIS HABIT

I think it is a good idea to put a shut-off valve right by (between the fuel tank and the fass system because when you go to change the filter you will get a constant flow (if you put the fass system on the frame rail like I did (below the usual level of the fuel tank).

If you use any biodiesel it might be a good time to change the pickup hose in the fuel tank (the stock one (at least in my 99 was a miserable small cheap rubber hose that was collapsing). I can't believe that would be very good for performance. . .

If you are installing a complete FASS System there will be no need to upgrade any Banjo bolts or fittings because you are eliminating the entire Chrysler fuel supply system. The FASS has a 3/8" line that connects directly to the injection pump and it is a full flow fitting. I would recommend using dielectric grease on all connections and double check all of your grounds upon installation. Good luck and call if you have any questions. (317) 401-4843

Modify your fuel filler hose so you can refuel w/ engine running by rerouting the FASS fuel return line lower down the fuel filler tube versus the fuel filler vent. If you don't, fuel will spew out of you try to fill tank w/ engine running. I recommend installing a 4" long, 1. 5" diameter (I think, measure your filler hose). Drill and tap the pipe and screw in 3/8 barb fitting. Cut the fuel filler tube in half, slip either end over the pipe and clamp it. Don't install the tee in the fuel filler vent line (where FASS instructions say to route the return fuel line). Run the line to the barbed fitting you installed. FYI: I installed two barbed fittings on my pipe and used the 2nd barb for the fuel line from my aux tank.

Hope this helps,
