Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FASS Question

I wanted to ask you guys this before I did something stupid.



Can the FASS be mounted in a horizontal orientation? Aside from the gravity drain of the water seperator, will this hurt the pump? I wouldn't mind mounting it flat in the old frame location. I noticed the oil filter in my Grand Cherokee is horizontal.

I am sure if it could be mounted that way they would tell you that on the instruction.

Do not do this... . it will not work... we have a check ball that will become unseated and the pump will not move any fuel. Needs to be mounted vertically... .
