:{ I cant beleive it last night I had to move the truck and I didnt hear the fass 150 gph come on at all and then the truck ran funny  eratic idle then, shut it off called the shop who put it in, and checked the fuse, which is good, then the connections all of them fine none loose looked at the fusues on the fenderwell, looked okay, truck will start, but fass dosent come on ? I am taking the truck back to them to get it fixed, I just had it put in and NOW THIS? less than a month? did something else blow I dont know how long that it hasnt been working/running/pumping, I just hope that it didnt screw my vp44 up if it did Am I the one to flip the bill? any advice?

I had the same thing but it would come on for a few then go off. Found out I had good power to it and a darn good ground but when I had first put it in I had the older kit and the ground to the battery was non-existen put on in and still had the problem turns out the moter assembly was bad replaced it now she runs beautfully.

:) I took it back yesterday checked everything and it turned out that the 2 screws in front and back, underneath the caps had some condensation in them, we had power all the way back to the pump and then when you would hit the key it would come on for a minute then kick out/go dead, so took out the springs/brushes cleaned them up and put some silicone around the edges so that it wont get any water in there The only thing is I just washed the truck who would have guessed? something so simple as that  seems to running fine at least I have an extra relay, and know what to look for next time if it happens again see yall later

D does your FASS have the O-ring under the brush caps? My FASS is about 2 months old and has the O-rings. I thought that I had read on here that DPP was sending out replacement caps with the rings. Was wondering if mine was gonna act up. I have had it in the car wash, with under body spray several times and lots of rain with no prob.

Yeah, you might want to contact DPP, I received the upgrade on the caps and a new brush a little over a month ago. Took a whole 2 minutes to swap em out, now no fear of water getting in. I also put a coat of dielectric grease on the orings.

Good luck,

Casey

I just emailed diesel performance about an update kit, so they should be sending me something soon ;) I just hope that it didnt ruin my vp-44 otherwise they will be paying for a new one NOT me it was the pump system unit that quit working now I am afraid to wash the DAMN truck  thanks for the responses!!!!

I thought the FASS was supposed to fix all the lift pump problems! I relocated the stock lift pump back in front of the tank and added a pressure gauge for under $50. I would much rather have a stock lift pump WITH A GAUGE than ANYTHING without a gauge! Why spend big bucks on a "fix" and still not have a way to know if it is working?
