Has anyone run into an issue installing the FASS system on their short beds?

I have camper tie downs which are in the way of the recomended location for the install and was wondering if anyone had made any special brackets. Pictures would be great to give me ideas. :D

I am planing on making some custom mounts but would like to think about it before my welds break and my $600 fuel pump gets run over by my rear tire!!! ;)

Thanks,

Someone posted they mounted theirs behind the rear axle somewhere. Maybe they can comment here...

I barely squeezed mine in place as well. Wish I bought a long bed from day one. With the bolts protruding down from the in bed tank, and that place was exactly where the aux tank fuel hose ran down, it was tight.

Can you change your tie-downs to the type that mount on front of the bed, and protrude out behind the cab??

Looked at it over the weekend

and I think I am going to be ok with some additional mounts I can make.

I don't want to take the mounts off for 2 reasons. Personally I don't think the beds are strong enough to hold that much weight. Second, the camper manf. recomends these. I don't really get why one camper would require bed mounts vs frame mounts but each manf is different. I am doing it more for the first reason because they are well constructed and it seems like a stronger place to have it mounted.

I will update this thread when I get it done with some photos for others. But that might take some time. I spent more time fixing sprinklers getting ready for the summer this weekend than working on my truck... :(

Thanks,
