A few days ago I was looking at the install instructions for the fass titanium pump. The new no drill mount is a nice addition. The instructions say to bypass the oem pump and filter and hook directly to the vp44. My question is there anyone who hooked to the oem filter or even the oem pump making the fass a pusher pump. It would be nice to keep the wif sensor and heater in the oem filter housing, plus the ability to drain water.

I left my stock pusher pump and filter bowl installed and just bypassed them. If my Fass ever fails I can hook my stock system back up on the side of the road in 10 minutes. There are other water separator filters that are compatible with the Fass with a water drain on the bottom that you can use. I just ordered one of these kits fro BD. It's made to work with their system but I'm going to see if I can get it to work with my Fass.

That would be the correct way to plumb it, thru the OE filter housing. That way you have the drain and fuel heater available. You can also reduce the filtration in steps from FASS thru OE housing for better effective filtration.

Might as well remove the mechanical pump and lines as it will be useless if you run with the FASS for any length of time.
