I recently installed the FASS and think its great. I do have two small problems and was wondering if any other users had similar expieriences or comments to help solve mine. First. Fuel return from FASS is tee'd into vent line resulting in slight leak. I am having difficulty deciding exactly where the leak is but am thinking it is at hose clamp to plastic vent fitting on tank. I am going to replace old hose as it had a "set" to it and I think this is the culprit. Advice to others USE NEW 3/4 HOSE FOR VET/RETURN LINE. Cheap insurance.
The filters stick down below the truck a couple of inches and are visible. Not a critical problem but I was wondering if anyone had a solution. I always worry about stupid stuff like someone taking a fuel filter and leaving me high and dry. Not worried about road damage as the unit is built like a tank.
One benefit no one speaks about. This unit is real easy to "prime" even with no fuel in the VP ( It drained while installing the new fitting) I just filled the filters and cranked her over two or three times)
I have been reading all the stuff about HP and what not. Let's just say install the system because you don't want anymore liftpump problems. any other benefits are iceing on the cake.
