The other day I started my truck by remote as I have done many times when it is cold out. When I got into the truck I noticed it was idling rough and had zero fuel pressure. So I shut it off. My Fass System was installed about three years ago when they had only a two year warranty. I listened for the pump and heard nothing. I replaced the fuse and relay (updated harness) and nothing. I took it off the truck (20 degrees out) and took it apart. found pump would only turn every now and then. Brushes seemed okay. What i found out by calling Keith at MCS Diesel in MS. was that that had been problems with the older units when the brush would cause the motor to go on and off. He got me the new style motor (brushless) in 48 hours so he is GREAT! This post is here so owners of the older pumps with brushes should know that the new motor was designed because there was problems. And its not cheap when yours has no warranty!
