Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FASS water seperator

Are you supposed to change the water seperator with the filter? Or

ever?

I don't have my FASS manual readily available but... The manual says to loosen it, shake it a little, then drain it occassionally. About every 500 gallons of fuel or so, remove it, clean it with gasoline, and reintall it. You shouldn't have to replace it unless its damaged. What I've remembered might not be exactly what the manual says but I think its close. You can get the information off their website.
