I've read a couple threads where guys are using the FASS with biodiesel. Are there any problems with the FASS when the fuel is below gel point? If so, has anyone rigged up some kind of heater blanket for the fuel tank with an in-cab switch to preheat it? I've been studying all the biodiesel info out there and there is tons so I probably haven't hit all of it. Are there any other problems or benefits with the two together? It seems to me that with the water separator it would be the perfect last line for a biodiesel brew to go through. I'm not sure what the aeration of biodiesel is like, but I would imagine it would only be bad if bio is wet and not washed properly due to soaping. Any thoughts??

I use the FASS with SVO. I'm using the coolant heat the FASS has ports for; but I live in Ca and haven't had any experience with cold weather yet. If you are concerned with gelling before the vehicle is warmed up you can get an electric band to go around the filter that is temperature controlled.

I would definately recommend using the coolant heat exchanger of the FASS with biodiesel.

did I read correctly - finally someone using veg oil in a 3nd gen truck. . I was thinking of home brew biodiesel WVO (cleaned up)... what have you done to your truck to run SVO. . what % do you run in a tank??? Hell - no injector issues
