OK, my lift pump is only doing about 8psi right now, sometimes when i'm at about 55mph it will do about 5psi . .



should i just replace it with FASS? or add in the fass pump only?



where is the best place to get them here in MN, i'll probably go with Tim but mostly am currious on your suggestions for do i go with full fass with filters, or do i go with just the pump?

get a lift pump on it soon! Dont hurt your precious VP-44! then add a rasp or any other secondary pump, The RASP is nicer IMO and less electronic junk to go wrong. Im still in the gray on what Im going to do on my rig. If you do the LP yourself try to get a 7yr old with small hands to help! :-laf

So what you are saying is even if i get a fass system i still have to get a good working lift pump?

I dont have a fass or anythign else but IMO the RASP is what I might go with. The Fuel Air Seperation System does just that plus it pushes, The RASP is more of a manual lift pump set up I think but it primes your pump so thats a big plus!!. Well now after Reading a few FASS posts (do a search and you will find TONS of info) I think im leaning twords fass but Ive still got to do some more searching. you should get something on your truck soon to fix the low fuel pressure. Ah he11 there are too many options but its quite a chunk of change for a fuel system compaired to a 140. 00 lift pump

Replace factory lift pump install pusher pump and Scotty's fuel system you will have plenty of fuel

Dump the lift punp and

bypass it with the FASS. Both my LP and factory fuel filter are off - makes that part of engine very accessible. Now my FP never drops below 18 PSI... been on over 100,000 miles -

Have you inspected brushes?

Heard of one FASS unit dying from brush problems at about 100,000 miles... but... I believe he was intentionally not changing filters to test how long they would go (had spares ready to replace at first sign of trouble).

Brad, at FASS, says changing filters @ 20,000-30,000 miles keeps brushes clean, but suggests inspection every 100,000 miles.
