Hey guys, was thinking of getting the fass setup. Which one is the best one to get for our trucks? I've read about the Fass 150, but there are two different ones, a 90 GPH and a 95 GPH. Also were is the best place to mount it? Can the original filter be removed, and it could be mounted there? Also were is the lift pump? Do you need to run new wires or do you just hook it up were the original pump hooked up? All information on this setup and installation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If your '03 still has the original LP it should be mounted on the rear of your fuel filter. The 2 different FASS pumps that I know of are the FASS 95 and the FASS 150, and I thought I might have read something about a 200 gph pump at one time but I can't remember.

I had a HPFP ( high pressure fuel pump ) on my '03, it was a non filtered FASS 95, so I kept the stock filter also. I mounted it on the bed support rail just in front of the driver side rear tire. The pump came with everything needed for install, mounting bracket, wire harness pigtail ( just unplug the harness from your stock LP and plug it in to the pig tail ), fuel line, and fittings.

By the way if you've had the original LP replaced at a dealer since 2005, I believe, than they probably relocated your LP inside your fuel tank.

I know there's others around here with more and better info for you. I was very happy with my HPFP, it provided very solid fuel pressure, 16. 5 psi at idle, and with an EZ on level 1 and Smarty on level 5, I couldn't pull pressure below 12 psi at WOT.

I went with the 150 with filter so I could get the lower micron filtration. It was a pita to mount on a short bed, but the rest of the install was cake. Except that the Jake break vacuum pump interfears with the hose going into the cp3. Get the one with the filters and junk the factory pos. I got mine from Diesel performance accessories for Dodge Cummins, Ford Powerstroke, and Chevy Duramax they priced matched and they had a good deal on the AFE filter that I wanted too.

My $. 02,

Aaron
