cold weather start is what I told the dealer when I had my turned on just mentioned would like to make the idle higher when its cold and they installed it for free for me took about 15 minutes

can u adjust it with your cruise or is it just a cold weather thing?

I want it to make the a/c work better in the summer... it's allready hit 105

here in the desert

First off, it depends if you have an auto or manual trans. If auto, just tell the dealer you want the "high idle" feature enabled on your truck. There is no TSB as the ecm already has the software in it, they just have to turn it on. I had mine done once when I had the oil changed and they showed me how it was done. Took about 2 minutes.

If you have the manual trans. it's a little more involved. I believe you need to purchase a special part (can't remember exactly what it called) to bypass the clutch. It can be done though. My neighbor did his himself.

Oh, and yes, that is for the high idle you set yourself by using the cruise control buttons and accel/decel to raise and lower. Mine goes from 1100 rpm up to 1500 depending on how many times I hit the accel button. Very nice feature to have. I myself have used it many times to keep the ac biter cold when hot outside.

There is a tsb---- there is not a flash needed .

Your right. I forgot. When I took mine to have it done, I gave them the tsb # and they looked at me like I was crazy. (Go figure) He said, "you just want the high idle enabled right?"
