Has anyone with a 4" exhaust tried to install a fastcooler on the passenger/exhaust side of the transmission. Installed the driver side and from looking at the other side, decided to leave it off. There would be only a quarter of an inch or so of clearance between it and the exhaust. I would be concerned of the heat transfer from their being so close. Read somewhere that someone had one milled. Any suggestions?

when i ordered mine, i told verlyn i had a 5600 w/ 4in exhaust. he gave me a slightly shorter version. while holding it up there,,,,i was concerned w/ clearance, but after they were installed, i found clearance was sufficient. only upper edge is close,,but not too close.

my transmission coolers are 3 inches. for my t-case it is 2 1/2 inches

I too put my pass side cooler in the old Bridgeport and hacked a 1/2 inch off. They will fit as is, but is very close. For what it is worth, i have the jardine 4", Maybe other exhaust will be a little more/less room. Any machine shop can put one in the mill and shorten it in about 5 minutes. I did leave the stock cover on the passenger side cooler even after shortening, didnt want that lexan so close to the exhaust. Besides i can only see the need for one lexan cover per gearbox, so i put the second one on the t-case. Now between the fastcooler covers on the transmission and tcase and the mag hytec covers front and rear, i can check all fluid levels in less than 5 minutes.
