If you guys will have an event other than the 8 hour drive one way for a dyno run then I will give it my best shot. It runs ok but you get use to it, on the next to the last run of the night I was watching the folks at the big end looking at me... . seemed wierd, I really think the fans like it better than me, heck I'm just testing and learning! The young kids on the web say it rules... . must be the smoke show or the new Corvette I spanked and never realized it... zoned out!

I guess I'll chime my time in, even though it is a little slower than ya'lls so by no means the fastest... .



In Bowling Green last weekend I ran a 14. 5 @ 97mph on Kelly Safari's as a personal best. This was the 3rd time my truck has ever been down the track and the last two runs were 16. 0's and with about 120HP less than I have now.



So not a bad improvement... .

Looking forward to meeting everyone at Muncie, the times are just a personal thing as bracket racing it doesn't matter, I would rather run some open class at Muncie. I haven't even run on the dyno yet with the new setup so that will be a treat if the Muncie one works out.

So Jim, do you want to schedule an appointment for Sunday at the track for a dyno, or just get in line Saturday. My dyno will be there and I want to see my current record of 633hp FALL like a ton of bricks...

Those of you that came up and talked to me at Muncie and asked about the runs I made in the past thought I would post the lastest results. Went testing tonight but didn't get back in to the 12's, a 13. 15 was the best pass at 110 MPH, 60ft's were 2. 20's leaving at 10psi in valet mode with the AFC all the way back, the last pass was ugly with more bottom end fuel and a 15 psi launch... . yep it didn't like it an shook the tires real bad. Made repeated 110 MPH passes, seems that is the wall with the 370's. Might just have to sell out and go to something different than the 265's, I had hopes of running more consistently on these tires and may do so at a well prepped track but trying to test with street cars the track changes like the wind!

What happen to those JR injectors you had in Muncie?

They belong to Piers, I tried them for the trip and a set of big Stupid ones around here that are in no way drivable and I was afraid of blowing something up as you could hear the pop off valve over the motor when you were on it and the smoke was almost unbelievable, plus the 370's are mine and that is what I will run in the future. 110 MPH is fine, just need to work on the ET's more, lost that cover gasket again on the last pass so it ended my night, pushed it back on, cleaned up the mess, called Cummins and ordered a new cover and gasket then drove home without a leak... price you pay!

How Come???

Jim, is your breather apparatus on the drivers side of the engine working properly? Jus wondering why that lifter cover gasket keeps blowing.

Nowell, I did notice some blockage a few day prior to driving to Muncie, but it's fine now and I have a air/oil separator. Once I finally figured out what was leaking on the way up I got in touch with Schieds Diesel and picked up a gasket on the way and changed it in the parking lot at Muncie, the cover was a little warped and I straightened it a bit and installed the new gasket and it has been holding fine, this time I will put a new cover and gasket on and it will not leak again (gloves are coming off) I could care less about the work but the leak will get you DQ'd as we all know. The learning curve continues

They were way ugly, like just waiting to blow something up... . there is now way I would make a pass with those in, not with my Twins. My pop off was blowing some serious air off!

I ate up a new vette a couple of days ago and to be honest I wasn't very impressed with them. One of my friends at the track said that they're not doing very well..... mid to high 14's.

Hey Cord, I did one in a while back too without even paying attention to him... . he did a 13. 4 or 5 and I did a 13. 1 burping the throttle for wheel spin... ... crowd loved it!

I had one a couple of weeks ago on the highway, from about 60mph up untill 120 when i chickened out. I pulled on him the whole way too.



guess it's time to go hunting after something a little more serious... ...
