WHo has it? How fast? What mods, gears etc? Just interested because I have one. Curious on 1/4 times for higher hp 6 speeds, or links to info on these. I know they arent the best transmission for speed but just interested. THanks!

Not mine it rows like a boat but at with at least 150hp(ish) it really moves down the highway just ask the WRX 2dr I spanked and the SSR I tried to run over...

I think all the fast 6spds leave in 3rd gear and shift really fast I heard of one in the 13sec flat area.

I'm Going on the rollers and test my 1/4 mile time in a week, I have no idea what the truck will do but she gets up and goes pretty good.

I don't try to run H2O/meth and Lpg at the same time, I do run them the same time and very sucessfully after alot of number crunching to the the blend just right. The injector's are a new version from BD Power, hope that answers your questions.

I'm having some 6 speed issuses I hope is 100% related to my stock clutch freaking out to 900# and 450hp. It's tough to shift in 3rd and 4th and at times 5th and 6th. Many people state it's the clutch, some say bent forks or rails in the trains.

This has been aquired because of shifts fast enuff to bark 2nd-3rd, 3rd-4th, 4th-5th, while STOCK, as well as Edge juice attitude at 5/5.

As for 1/4 mile times, I ran 16. 5 100% stock, 3 gallons of fuel, no tail gait, at about I guess just about 7000 pounds.

Comparing to other cars who I spanked, like a WRX, I should be in the low low low 14's, like 14. 0 - 14. 2, assuming the following:

Clutch sticks, and lets me shift fast,

Fuel pump isn't getting worse like I think it is. Working on that fuel pressure guage ASAP.

I expect with hot juice + FASS + clutch to hit 13. 5. :)

No USDM 2Dr WRX's exist in the states so look what ya done did now. Ya freakin Sucked the back end closer to the front spankin him like that.

Is there a short throw available for the Oar found on the six speed? And does it tighten it up any?

TmTT - The Auto Guy :-laf

Its probably going to take more than a hot juice and a fass to get 13. 5 with a 6 speed.

I think Banshee on this site and DTR has done mid 13's with his 04.

He has twins, nitrous and other mods.

Then Banshee isn't doing something right. I seen the same setup I have with a bigger turbo run 13. 0. I figured I can get damn close to 13. 5, forsure 13. 7 solong as my tranns lets me.

From my understanding a good shifting 6 speed will require 100 hp more than auto for the same 1/4 mile time (approx). So I think it would be fair to say that a 550-600 hp 6 speed would run mid to low 13's.

This is something I'll have to see for my self.

there is a short throw shifter available - don't know how much it helps - you can find in the "JEGS HIGH PERFORMANCE" catalog...

6speed video

I've never posted a link to something, so I hope this works. Here is a video posted in the Comp forum a while back. The thread is titled "Racing a 6 speed?" It is almost impossible to find through the Search feature.

The video is apparently from a couple of years ago.
