Competition where can I get purepurple

Looking for a faster spooling set up. or as fast as possible with high hp numbers. and what is the thought on top turbo being wastegated and run a external wastegate to bypass for lower egts. Just thinking out loud what would be some of the negitives with system thanks

Have you thought of putting on a hx35 for your small charger? I've heard that they spool 200rpm sooner than the hx40. Just a thought.

I have just wondering if there was something better if cost is not so much a issue. I like the spool up of the 35 and low end torque, just not the egts. thats why i was wondering about the external wastegate.

Well, I work at a turbo shop, we don't do diesels, but I do! :) If cost was not an option I would go with a garrett GT35R with a . 72 a/r for low end response (this charger will spool like an hx35 if not quicker, and is good for around 550 hp) use a tial 44mm external gate, and a gt45 with a 1. 06 a/r for the second stage. This combo should make enough air for around 650-900hp and still be totally streetable. This is my dream setup :) I just never had the $$$ to make it happen. I run an HX35 cartridge with a 40 compressor and a 12cm housing with a tial 44mm external gate feeding an HT3B 26cm with a custom 100mm garrett compressor wheel. My truck makes almost 700hp, and spools to 65psi almost as soon as you touch the gas! Running an external wastegate makes it real easy to dial in the boost/HP ratio. My turbos will make 90psi, but stop making hp at around 65 because they are out of their eficency range. the garrett turbos are the best investment you can make. They are completely ball bearing, and feature actual performance parts/engineering, not just some crapy retrofitted diesel parts. I would run these parts if I could! go to www.TurboByGarrett.com for more info on there products and compressor maps.

I've also got a Dodgezilla for the small turbo with a 12cm housing only I am using a tial 38mm wastegate, B2 for the large turbo. Spool is instant...

Here's a link to Power by Poole's webpage Linky a video of this setup on Gus Farmers truck is listed there (785 hp on NOS) around 600 hp with #2 only
