Last night was a kick!
Helped the son move cars off his business lot in prep for the incomming storm (Ct).
Last vehicle to move was an 89 CTD D350 "donor" truck... soon to have the CTD put into an S-10.
Anyway he has this rolling chassis D350, cab with a bare frame. Only headlights and cab roof lights
Well, he said "dad can you follow me to your house were I'll park the truck until I have time to do the conversion?"
Silly me... I said "of course".
So I follow him closely because he has no tail lights... .
Mind you he has a truck with no aneroid spring, no plastic coller, eccentric set to max.
Well, he nails it... . smoke cloud big time... I think he has 4:10s behind the 5 spd.
He tries to lose me, but I keep up with him (easily I might add) but through a cloud of smoke. Wish I had thee radar running.
Me mighty Cummins sucks in the smoke and begs for more!!!
We pass a "Drunkin Donuts" people outside, turning heads to see the action. They obviously love the smoke, the sound of the whining turbos... . shifting gutbags... Not really much happening in Torrington as you might have guessed.
Anyway, the kid loved the old man keeping up with him... . mashing the pedal, he loves this crap.
I guess this is father/son bonding... . in the 2000s CDT style!
I wonder if my son is more nuckin' futs than me????
Did I teach him OK????
