I am having trouble getting my A/C to work, and it looks like it is leading to the viscous fan clutch not engaging. I have unplugged the engine coolant temp sensor and plugged a resistor into there and it brings the temp gauge way over 200 degrees and the engine RPMs go up to 1000, but it doesn't seem like the fan speed changes, I assume that when this thing locks in you can hear a loud roaring noise like on the older second gen pickups when they locked up. Then the procedure it says on 7-72 of the FSM you ground the number one wire with a back probe and it should lock the fan up I am assuming, I tried that and it didn't seem to change anything there either. Does all of this mean I should replace my clutch? Thanks in advanced. Oh this would be on the 2005 listed in the sig.
