I stoped in a gas station on the way home from the Texas Rally today, and stumbled upon some beef jerky that was the best I have ever had. It is called "Oma's Choice", and it comes in several different styles.

The website is OmasChoice.com, and you can order it over the internet!!!:D

What is YOUR favorite Beef Jerky???

Andrew

Biltong... ... that's the type of meat, I ate a ton of that stuff when I was in South Africa for two weeks..... they have jerkey shops where you can order your spicy level and how you want it prepared, scredded, chopped or stick.

Back home in Oklahoma, there's a butcher that makes it too called wild bandits nice an hot with the right flavoring.

The stuff you get it stores is just dried up meat, very little flavoring.

Morph.

Good

Don't remember the name, but the store is on 395 in Bishop, CA. Buy it by the pound, expensive but worth it. All kinds including Bison and Elk. I stop ever time I go skiing.

Cary:cool:

Now I'm all out!!! :( Maybe I can get Mr. Schultz to send some this way!!! :D

Moprh,

I agree for the most part, but this stuff was different!!! It was the best!!!

I don't remember the name, but you could get it just about everywhere in Texas. It was a chunk of beef with a string and yellow tag. It was not wrapped in anything. You could also get dried sausage. Man I miss Texas best darn food I every at, both Tex-Mex and Bar-Be-Que.

You can get all kinds of beef jerky just north of Houston, TX on 45. Can remember the city name, but you can see the shop off the highway.

I usually pickup some jerky at Love's truck stop when I'm on a road trip. .

Are you talking about Woody's. Exit 165 on I-45?

After I remembered which exit it was, I had already passed it. NOt once but twice.

Maybe next time I'm up that way.

Just post it here, i won't tell anybody :)

Honestly, the best jerky I've had was the stuff my grandmother made... dried it on the clothesline. Man, that was grubbin!

We pulled the caravan over in Weimer and bought about 8 pounds of that stuff. A little place called Kasper's I think. David said we had to stop there, and since he was or tire watcher for the trip, we kinda had to stop there. :D

I agree, it was some pretty good stuff. Mine didn't last long. Of course I was sharing with Harry. :)
