Favorite beer

Whats your favorite beer? If its other, tell us what it is. My favorite is Killians. My favorite "true" import is Boddington's.

Voted for Coors Light, although lately I've been drinking alot of budweiser select. It's not bad, and they have been pushing it with real good prices lately (13. 99 for a case), so much that I bought three cases last week. I'll probably run out tommorrow, hope they still have it at such a deal .

First of all, I must say that I think Budweiser is just about the most vile swill ever created #ad




I really like a nice IPA. Usually go for Harpoon IPA as it's relatively easy to find

I'll take a Corona or Pacifico, not really a big beer drinker, and I don't like the local micro-brewery darks.



Give me a vodka and lemonade , pink grapefruit or Snapple Lemon Ice Tea, and I will be a lot happier.

Corona, Corona light second choice, third choice is Miller High Life. Something about the Corona I can drink a lot of it and almost never have any ill effects in the morning.

Growing up when I was 17 yrs old we drank Olyimpia in the stubby bottles. I still remember the taste and havent been able to duplicate it yet. The closest I have come is Henrys Pale Irish Ale. Prety spendy around here. When I wa in the Airforce in the early sixtys we went TDY to Aviano Italy every year. They had an Italian beer that was called Pedavina if they were out of that we would order Dormich which was also very good. The German beers such as Lowenbrau & another one whom I cant remember were available in the NCO club. Both very good beers. I can remember that friday nights at the on base NCO club were 10 cent nights. Any drink or beer you orderd cost 10 cents period. Those were the days.

Where's Blatz on the poll :-laf . I find myself going for some of the old stand-by beers here lately. Had some Lone Star the other day, went good the fajitas I made, Texas special right there. Finally found Natural Light in bottles, hadn't seen that in years and those hit the spot .

Busch! The GOOD Anheuser product. I was born & raised in the St. Louis area,& most of us drank Busch instead of Bud. Never cared for the taste of Bud. Always gave me a brutal hangover when I did drink it. DK.

Coors Light tastes like a dose of Alka Seltzer to me lol!



I do love the taste of Coors Original though.



When I want something a little different I get some Moose Drool, very good stuff.

I voted for regular old Bud. At one point, I absolutely hated it. But, it seems to be the one I am filling the fridge with lately.



My absolute favorite beer of all time was called OV Splits. I started drinking it when my wife was still living in New York. I believe that it was a Labatt product. It was never available in my area, but I would pick up a couple of cases every time we went to my in-laws. I have not been able to find it the last couple of times we've been there. Has anyone run across this brand?

So far as domestics, I like Bud Light and Coors Light. Miller Lite is not one of my favorites, but its drinkable, especially when free.



My favorite import is probably Newcastle Brown Ale, but that dark beer taste is not for everyone.



Bell's Ale is a great microbrew from Kalamazoo MI, and worth trying if you get the chance. Their Amber Ale is especially tasty, but its only available in fall/winter.

And when in the domestic mood, Coors Light or Miller Light do the trick.

If I can't have good German beer, I like Granville Island Lager, out of Vancouver BC, but crossing the border now a days is a PITA. Or my good old dependable get it here in the US, Kokanee, also from BC.



When I was back east there was some Yingling (check the spelling on that one) that was pretty good.

Corona - though in the middle of winter there's nothing better than a cold Spaten Brau. Of course, if they imported Riegele Brau, I'd drink that. American beer is so weak, it's like it's pre-drunk and recycled (though the occasional Sam Adams ain't too bad).

Rolling Rock Pale Ale is about all I can stand. Then again, a 6-pack will last me 2 years or more.



I prefer Jim Beam with Mountain Dew. It's sweet but oh so smooth. Crown & Coke is good too but I don't want to hijack this thread/poll.
