Single Malt Whiskey - aka "Scotch"

Glen Morangie 18 y/o

Used to like Glen Livet but found out it's owned by a French company  so I won't buy it (and a bunch of other stuff) anymore. Tried Glen Morangie instead and guess what - it's better. Whole distillery's run by only 18 guys.

Glen Morangie isn't bad. My personal favorite is Balvenie Port Wood 21 year old.

My g/f gets me a couple of bottles of assorted single malt Scotches a year. Nice having her get me 18 and 20 year olds.....

Does bourbon count too? If so, give me Woodford Reserve, Makers Mark, and Bookers.

Living in KY, it's a sin to drink that "stuff" from other states. :D

Conechuh Ridge... . the state Whiskey of Alabama..... Very smooth... . but dont let that fool you, it will tear your head up like a crowbar-totin' redneck on crystal meth.....

I love to cook with JD, but don't drink it. In fact, the only drinking I do is Vodka and GFJ. If you want a treat, bake a ham and half-way through, baste it really good with brown sugar mixed with JD. Excellant ham.....

Scotch whisky ;)

gotta go with Dalwhinnie... . yummy :)

Otherwise Maker's Mark, Knob Creek, or Southern Comfort.

Yes, whisky. Thank you very much for pointing that out.

Dalwhinnie, Balvenie, hmmmm. Something new to try. I like to keep an open mind about these things - wouldn't want to get stuck in a rut, ya know.

The red wax

Yes, good old Makers Mark bourbon. Definitely Glen Morangie Scotch, and Glacier potato vodka from Idaho. Put the Glacier in the freezer overnight, cut a thin slice of orange, pour the Glacier over the orange slice, and sip.

Three things in life that make life fun!

I like to sip the occasional Crown Royal, but I'm much more a rum man - Captain Morgan's usually. I've taken a liking to brandy recently, and Jagermeister. I also keep some Stolichnaya around, but only to mix with orange juice or bloody mary mix.

The MACALLAN 12 yr old single malt. I have sampled bunches all over the globe, more and less expensive, but this is IT for me.

Just a word of advice, if you do not have an aquired taste for single malt Scotch whisky, then don't aquire one. This stuff will impact your wallet. :)

Here in the valley of the sun a bottle of Macallan 12 yr. runs $50 - $60.

Outstanding Scotch

Try Bell's Scotch - - they don't sell it in the US anymore, but you can pick it up in Canada!

anything FREE...

same goes for rum & vodka...

although if i am buying vodka, grey goose is the pic... although my last bottle was finlandia [being a finn, i just had to get it. . ;)]

Best?

It`s a matter of taste. Old # 7 is a classic, and always a good choice. Lately I`ve been sippin` the Gentleman Jack. Not much on Scotch myself. DK.

I have boycotted Grey Goose... Belvedere is my favorite! Never did develop a taste for Whiskey/Scotch/Tequila. But love a good Vodka & will drink Gin in a pinch... but drink beer and red wine mostly.
