Short Bed trucks with sliders work just fine. I like the way short beds look . I have a fifth wheel and know that you have to be careful. A buddy of mine has a long bed 2 whl drive and blew out his window dented the side of the cab in a sharp U turn so the longbeds are not immune to it either. It just happens less often. More people with 5th wheels probably hit low branches and bridges then anything else. If Ram produced a manual with every potential thing a customer may do wrong it would take a long bed just to haul it around. LOL.

I bought my new Ram truck and had the Pullright Superglide hitch and air bags put in as part of the deal. I bought our 5th wheel the same week.

I didn't want to become a statistic!

Buddy of mine who used to be a John Deere dealer had a picture hanging in the shop of an old farmer looking at a warning label on a mower deck, the caption of the farmer read, "you mean to tell me someone dumb enough to put their hands under this here mower deck when it's running is gonna be smart enough to read this here warning label?"

25+ years ago I was also a John Deere dealer. No matter what kind of meeting or training we went to a good portion of it would be them or one of their corporate attorneys recounting tales of liability claims. Many of those stories were about things farmers did and filed suit. It wasn't all goofy homeowners. It was truly mind-blowing. You listen to those stories a while, and you begin to lose faith in humanity.
