Lookin for some feedback from anybody who has installed the new AFE intake on their rig and what ya think about the improvements? Thanks for the info! Made the trip from Co. to Pa. and the rig did a hell of a job!

Well, just had the AFE installed yesterday. I like it and if you compare it to the stock intake the airflow passages are much larger. It's a very nice set-up and works with my Glacier fuel filter. With everything I've done to my truck it's hard to tell if I've gained any additional performance. But, I replaced my turbo and went with an AFE stage 2, so I figured I'd replace the intake manifold as well. If anything, my turbo may spool a tad quicker and the egt's are a bit lower. I'm sure it's similar in performance to any of the other aftermarket intake manifolds out there.

I have had mine on for a while now,it's all about the package. With other air flow improvements the intake can maximize the overall torque band. We saw about 2olbft better gain with the intake addition on a truck with stg2 and cat back than stock intake and exhaust.

The way it tows at lower rpm is an impressive change. I have relatively high gearing now with the 37" tires and 4. 10s but can still tow up grades in od at Cali legal speeds with good egts when necesary for traffic conditions.

I am not a big fuel mileage watcher but it is easier to get good mileage towing or empty when you need less peddle to get the job done. I have a friend that will be pulling off his Banks to install a BladeRunner as soon we can get our schedules lined up. A comparison should be interesting.

Has anyone installed this on a totally stock truck and if so what was the results?

IMHO, putting one on a modified rig is ok but I dont plan on going much more than stock is why Im asking.
