Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fell victim to KDP should I upgrade camshaft?

Any camshaft upgrade suggestions?I bought my truck and wrongfully assumed the KDP had been tabbed#@$%!

I have a PDR quick spool cam and have been pleased with it. Boost comes in about 1,500 rpm and it shines above 1,800 rpm towing. I wish I had gone for a more aggresive grind, but I'm fairly aggresive.

Can't go wrong with a Hamilton cam. I run the 181/210, which is arguably one of (if not the) most popular cams they offer.

More info would be helpful. The kdp can strike any 12 and most 24 valves.

HPCR's are another ball game entirely.

Sorry it's been a few years since I've posted and now have a 97 215 5 speed not sure about pump tweaks but Ive installed a large fass system aem intake and it had a 5inch exhaust when I bought it. Jefferson state diesel nats it made 353hp and 808 lbs of torque to the wheels

What are your intended plans with the truck?

mostly just a very healthy strong and reliable street driven truck with nothing too major as far as heavy tow loads. possible sled pull but who knows. id like to add water meth and my hx35 is making some funny noises but has no play in the shaft but I intend on upgrading that along with som3 injectors perhaps. i had no idea what had been done to the truck but i atrbute those numbers to the south bend clutch i put on it but it for sure is fueling heavier than stock

I just returned from a 1800+ mile trip towing our 37' 5th wheel. First time since I installed the water/meth system. Very pleased with the egt's not being as much an issue as before.

I went with Coolingmist, their diesel version, only one spray nozzle.
