Rod Greene, handle BRUMUS71 is broke down on his way to a dragrace at Indy and needs urgent help.



97 truck with 5 speed, trans is locked in 5th gear. What be done to correct this? Anybody in the area that can help?

The fifth gear assembly can be removed and replaced without removing the transmission. If shes locked up in fifth thats the cause.

The detent in the 5th gear synchro assemble came apart and locked it in gear. I limped it back home with 4 forward gears and no reverse.
