the hotter the better...

when i had my tahoe, i installed a set of xenon flares on it when the weather was cool [typical fall warm in the sun, gets too cold for a tshirt in the shade] and 3 of the 4 flares came out good, one it was a little too cold for the 3m tape to stick right and a few weeks later, it started to come unglued from the fender...

I wonder if they were put on it a warm garage and taken out in the cold, would that effect them? Does that tape have to dry for a certain time?

Thanks,

Blake

i don't think so. that 3m adheasive is good stuff [i had the bug deflector attached with it for almost 2 years as i didn't want to drill holes into the hoods inner lip] it might have been that cause fender was a little stiff from the cool weather, it was under tension in a bad position??? or it could have been that i didn't get the paint as clean as i could have so it didn't stick well??? who knows.

Good point, I will be re doing 3 of mine and will do it inside on a Friday night and leave it till Monday.

Thanks guys... . the fender flares are on my "to do" list, somewhere down after "get the stuck heater diverter fixed again. " That is the highest priority right now as I have no defrost or floor heat. They fixed it over a year ago and stuck again! :{

Also on the list is new front axle u-joint and new ball joints. I don't remember ever having a truck that had all these problems at just over 2 years old.
