Anybody out there have any recommendations on fender flares? I am looking for something the still retains the stock 'look'... but adds a little protection.

Are they a pain to put on? Cutting?

I had Xenon flares installed when i bought the truck new(factored into the lease) and they look great. about 2" wider than stock and very sanitary  I cant help you with the install info but i can attach a picture.

A picture would be great! I don't want it to have the look of the bushwackers i installed on my cj... something a bit more 'sanitary. . '

I am still trying to decide which flares to go with. As far as the "cleanest" look I think the Xenons are hard to beat. IMHO they look identical to the OEM flares.

Bushwacker makes many different styles of flares including an OE flare with looks very similar, IMHO to the Xenons. The Xenons are of better quality.

If you are looking for a thinner flares Warn Thinline, Bushwacker Street Flares, and Xenon Sport (I think that is what they call their thinner flares) all offer a thinner style.

The Warn 4x flares are nice as they offer a good protection and look nice too, IMHO, but they may not the "cleanest" looking.

EGR makes a flare as well. Attached is a pic of the EGR's.

Personally, I am leaning toward the Warn 4x or the Xenons.

Hope this helps,

Ryan

EGRs look good to me...

I've been flare shopping for a while too. I spoke with a fellow at a TacoBell not too long ago about the flares on his 2500 and they turned out to be EGRs. Of all the ones I've seen I liked them the best. Very clean look and decent coverage. I think the better the coverage the worse they end up looking. Can't have it all.

Been looking too??

I have been looking to but not any close-up. When we ordered the truck we looked at the ones the dealer had. The wife wanted them so we getting them. I haven't had time to check out the brand or if they are Mopar. They are big and black, but paintable and have a rubber type seal against the truck body.

Can any of you experts help here??

What about rust ?

I have been holding off because of the thought of rust forming under the flares. I have a friend that has a 79 and brock a flare and almost all was rusted under each one. Whats the word on this? Thanks.

I had to replace one of my Warns after a rock shattered it at -20°, Warn paid. It had only been on three years but there was no rust. They don't use road salt in my area but the chemicals they use are just as bad.
