Guys, I was wondering what I need to use to attach the fender liners back on my truck? I pulled them off to install air bags. I have some of the plastic "pop rivets" I got from the dealer a while back, but I'd need some more and then were like $1 a piece.

Would aluminum pop rivets work? The hole is larger than 1/4" though.

You could use stainless bolts, nuts and washers. If you ever have to remove the liners again, they won't be rusted or break.

Yeh... I got mine at the dealer--they only had a few. I went to a place in town that sells nothing but fasteners (from giant nuts and bolts to small screws) they had them and were glad to sell me a handful; they cost less than the few I got at Dodge.

I use black 8 inch tiewraps (zip ties) bag of 100 for 8. 00. Just punch a hole next to existing one in plastic liner and fish the tie wrap thru and you're done.

save the old plastic rivets you remove.

i take a heavy black 10in zip tie and stick it through the middle of the old plastic rivet. the female head is large enough so it will not pull out.

then reinstall.

at this point you will have the plastic rivet with the male end of the zip tie sticking out toward the wheel.

cut the female head off another zip tie, push it up the first zip tie. pull the zip tie tight while pushing on the zip tie head you cut off. this will pull the rivet tight and allow it to function as designed. cut the portion of the zip tie flush with the 2nd head. it looks clean and sharp and works great.

i hope i have described it well enough.

anybody know where I can get the rear liners? I have an '02 and it seems Dodge ran out of them before they got to my truck...
