Front Fenders

I need some new fenders before I take my pickup in to get painted. When I was younger I cut the fenders to get some wide tires on. Man that was stupid it looks horrible now. Well I found a box to replace mine since it has one heck of a dent after I got hit by that minivan. The good thing is its only going to cost me $100 for the whole complete bed. It only has minor scratches in it. I also need a new windshield. So I guess what I am asking is where can I find some new fenders and a windshield?

Are you asking for the plastic fenders off the bed? I have a pair you can have. I don't think I will make it to the dyno this weekend but I'm sure I could get it to someone and have them bring them to you if you want them. You can call me at (916) 599-0580.

I think you lost me Plastic Fenders for the bed? Maybe I should edit my post I need the front fenders. Thanks for the offer though.

I would highly recommend getting new ones from Dodge. I bought two aftermarket fenders when I rebuilt the front end of my truck and they pretty much sucked. They dented easily, didn't fit well, and were extremely flimsy compared to the origanals. If I had it to do again, I would definitely spend the extra money and get them from Dodge.

I found some new ones at Dodge and I think that is the only way to go. Thanks for all of the help guys.

I believe the fenders from 1974 to 1980 will work and they are a THICKER gauge steel. They are tough. That's what I would do. You can still find them out there, m880's have them too.

Yes the early ones will fit, but the body lines are not the same. 81 and newer have a distinct body line to them, while the 80 and older do not. Its really noticable when they are put on the same truck.

Sorry, can't help about the new dodge fenders.

I have a 74 in the driveway and they are different. My "mad bodyworking skills" aren't up to snuff to put that body line on the earlier fender. If I did I'd add a 79 or 80 grill with the quad headlights :)
