I'm switching from a 10micron Napa filter to a 6micron Fleetgaurd for my FASS system to be in line with the forth coming 7micron spec for our trucks.

What will going from 10 down to 6 micron do to my pressure? I assume that I will need to change out filters sooner now, but will it effect pressure much out of the gate?

ALso how about our cold winters here in Michigan. Will I have any problems wax plugging the 6micron filter? I run stanadyne performance in every tank so I do get anti gell/anti wax protection in the winter from it.

If anyone has any idea or comments let me know. The fleetgaurd number is HF6607.

Thanks

Dunno how appropriate the comparison, but I use a Frantz sub-micron TP filter in my fuel system, along with the stock FF - I typically see a maximum of about 4 PSI drop with that filter under heaviest load in RV towing - but I also use an added pusher pump on my truck, and have the extra PSI and flow to counter the drop.

I doubt you will see much PSI loss at the pump with your coarser filter.
