what solenoid are you all using. where has everyone found the best price.

Napa has the one in the piture...

It's around $45, though I have to say I've had some problems. It draws a lot of power and when the tank is at max pressure it doesn't always fire. The horn circuit in the truck is 20 amp so it should easily fire a solenoid. I replaced the relay last night and got it working again so time will tell if that relay is the weak point.



On my Honey's truck I used the one from J. C. Whitney. Hadley manufactures it. It's around $30 after shipping. So far it's worked flawlessly. On another note theres a thread going where someone has gone through 2 of them fairly quickly.



THe Napa one plumbs with 1/8" pipe fittings and the Hadley one can only come out with a 1/4" plastic line with a crush fitting.

EDIT: Does anyone know if they make a better relay for use in the PDC?

Exactly what I needed - part numbers for the solenoid! I've had the horns, now I can connect them.



Every place I tried around here just gave me a blank stare when I said what I wanted.
