fiberglass front bumper???

I need to shed a couple pounds, does anybody know where i can find a complete fiberglass front bumper? or aluminum. Has anybody ever seen a bumper on a nascar truck? wonder what their made off? any other tips besides the obvious to shed weight? Thanks ...

Seriously, I don't think you can legally ditch the steel bumper. I might be wrong but I believe you have to have at least the miserable piece of tin that DC throws on there. It really doesn't weigh that much either.

it weighs 44 pounds. A glass bumper could only weigh 14 including brackets, thats 30 pounds man! Heck the bumpers on my mustang are only plastic, possible with the front bumper support removed for a 50 pound weight savings. But it for off road use only of course...

Some years back I built a mold for a glass bumper so I do make them. Getting pounds of the front end is a good idea but didn,t catch on if your interested e-mail me and I will send you some photos.
