Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) fifth gear loose nut crutch

I had the fifth gear nut come loose -long ways from home. With heated up transmission, if you match up engine speed with transmission ; one foot on throttle and jab the brakes with the left, the gear will slide into 5th and it stayed in for me as long as you apply power to engine. Kept me sane on interstate-sometimes takes a few attempts till it goes in-------
