uship?

Hi, was wondering if anyone has any info on manufacturers that build or have ready made fifth wheels for people that are disabled/wheelchair users. I'm paralyzed from the waist down, and use a wheelchair to get around. Would be nice to travel with a fifth wheel, and camp !!!. Are there alot of people like myself around that enjoy this activity ??, and what kind of set-ups do the have ?? Any info would be much appreciated, or any links to this would be great !!!

Thanks,

Randall

RHoppe you go getem! My 32 yr. old son has been in a chair since 23 years of age and still does it all! He has a toy hauler he uses and is able to access the inside from the ramp that comes down in back, does need help to close it up but no big deal! Hauls his ATV and sleds and goes anywhere he wants too. Need anymore info just ask! He has been camping for the last week and riding everyday. I`m sure we can be of assistance. Best of Luck

Have seen a chair/jack device for the entry door. . uses what looks like a TT electric jack with a chair on it to access the main door. this was in a trailer magazine like Trailer life or toyhauler magazine. I agree the toyhauler is good for ramping it up but it may be a little steep on some of them. . a little help would get it though. .

I would think a regular trailer would be a wiser "conversion" - with a 5'er you have two major challenges, getting in the trailer, and getting up to the bedroom.

I agree that the toy haulers would be a great start, and likely less $$ than a trailer that was custom built for access.

double check with a handicap lift company I saw a motorhome and trailer set/up a while back that both had a underbody lift on them sweet set/up makes life alot easier .
