Is there a standard clearance required between the bottom of the trailer and the top of the bed? I have a headache rack and bed rails on the truck that I don't want to loose. The bed rail is about 4" high.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason... You should have about 5-8" minimum clearance between the underside of your 5th wheel and the top of your rails (or bars) while level. If you have less, you won't have a problem while towing on level ground, but if you have less you may have contact between the truck and the trailer when you go over a bump (like an entry into a gas station or driveway). You also may have a problem if you tow off pavement to a campground with rutted, or bumpy gravel roads. Hope this helps... Good luck... ;)

I like to have a minimum of 6" clearance between bedrail and 5th wheel, preferably more for the reasons Rick stated
