Good place to buy a hitch Salem to Palmdale

I am looking for a ready made cover to fit my Drawtite 16K hitch. I know I've seen them out there before on rigs, but I can't seem to find them anywhere for sale. Anyone have any sources for them?

Ok, you're right they do offer thisCover

I guess I should have mentioned exactly what I wanted. I saw one at a park last summer that enclosed the entire hitch down to the bed. It might have been custom, because I've never seen one like it, but I liked the fact that it protected the entire hitch, not just the upper assembly.

Yep! That'd be the one...

I've seen one like you're lookin for. Guy told me he had "built it" himself. Kinda bummer.

Were ya thinkin about vinyl or somethin along the lines of a box?

I have the one from CW. Works well for Alaska anyway.

I saw a set-up that some guy made do with his 5th wh hitch. He used a BBQ cover that fit reasonably close to the size of his hitch. Put in some grommets along the bottom than used 3 bungee cords to hold it in place.

I get some 12" wide flashing, about 18" long. Put a creased lip on the back edge and make a spring curl on the front and just snap it over the hitch plate. Does the trick for me and doesn't take up much space.

I grease my king pin and hitch plate, and the above cover keeps the plate clean when the trailer is detached... and reduces accidental contact when I'm crawling around in the pickup bed.

Originally I used a nice piece of brass flashing (as an old navy hand, gotta like polished brass). But lost it and could find only aluminum which is available by the foot from rolls. Have run thru a couple of aluminum covers since.

Not fancy but does the trick.

I have been using a spare mat that goes in front of the steps fastened with a couple of bungee cords. Also, don't use all that grease on the hitch. Get a silicon plate from RV shop fits on the fiver pin then spray the plate with siliconspray once in a while no mess. Also a good site for rving ideas is phredtinseth.com. you will like it.
