Magnetic Suspension System comes of age

I posted the following on pickuptruck.com and received no answers. I guess the Phord boys don't do their own servicing!

A friend has asked me to give him a hand to change the oil and fuel filter on his F250 diesel. Is this a straightforward job, filters easy to get at, any special tools required and what procedure do you follow to bleed the fuel line?? I do this type of work on my Dodge CTD but want to be sure I can do it on his truck before I start to turn wrenches!

TIA,

Richard

You shouldn't have to bleed any part of the fuel system on a super duty. Just change the filter and start it up. both filters are right on top of the engine. you may have to take a cover off to get to them but i don't remember. anyway, it should be the easiest service you've ever done.

Thanks guys for the response! That's exactly the information I was looking for. I took a look at the motor today to see for myself and it does appear to be quite accessible. Any idea where I would buy a filter wrench? I don't mind using the hammer and punch routine but knowing my luck I would crack the housing!

Thanks again,

Richard
