Has anyone out there replaced the filter-minder with an in cab vacuum gauge?

I tried this using a 0 to 30 hg vacuum gauge.

I have not tried it at highway speed yet, but, while running 20 lb on the boost gauge, the vacuum gauge never moved off of zero.

I'm using a stock mopar air filter with holes drilled in bottom of air box.

If anyone else has tried this, I would like to hear from you.

Good to know, you are also getting very good filtration which cannot always be said for the aftermarket filters and filter replacement systems.

the 0-30"hg scale is too course. filter restriction is measured in "h20, and 20"h20 is a good time to change out the filter. 20"h2o is between 5"-6" hg [1"hg = 3"h20]

i have a 0-60" h2o gauge i got off ebay [4" one for like $10 ] i am going to have hooked up for testing purposes with a quick connect in the cab.

it will end up reading most when boost is most [most air going in]

Thanks

I did not know what size I needed, but I knew the one I have is WAY too big.

stewart warner makes a 5-40"h2o air filter restriction gauge that fits the standard 2" or 2 1/16" gauge pods... i remember seeing it on their website
