nothing else has to be done. the temp sensor fit is the same. i did not see any change in egt or spool up but allready had psm installed on stock box at the time of change

The whole thing goes together real easy. I bought the whole set up off ebay for $35 from a truck that had less than 3000 miles on it. I'm still running on the air filter that was in the box. I used the stock intake tube, plugged the emission tube near the turbo. I made a plate to go over one of the sensor holes that we don't use and I placed the original 5. 9 sensor in the same direction and made a clamp for it. I don't know if that was necessary. I think that gale banks air intake is one of the slickest out there, to pricey for me. I prefer a paper filter. I found most of my filter problems were after the filter had gotten wet from a hard rain. I tried to put the picture on but it wouldn't let me because I've done it once before so I tried to put the link on with the pictures, let's see if I got it right.

So, New 06 rig with 18,200 miles. Bone stock under the hood, I put in a brand new mopar air filter as I wait for my Amsoil filter in the mail. I noticed every time I drive the filter minder budges itself down halfway through the green. The filter only has 600 miles on it and is as clean as the day I put it in. The minder on my old truck never moved like this one... Do I have a funky filter minder?

Mine does the same thing. Has ever since new. Next time I change the filter I'm gonna remove it and plug the hole.

When I had my truck in the shop recently for the steering linkage update, the service dept. called me telling me that I needed a new air filter... (the one in it was a Fleetguard approx. 3 months old with about 500 miles on it)

His rationality was that the minder was pulled in. I asked if they ever actually LOOKED at the filter, come to find out, they hadn't. !!!!. . They also said that I needed a "battery maintenance service"????? Exactly WHAT is that on a maintenance free battery????? I declined.

Well, I replaced the minder last week... . Same thing, If I'd floor it the new minder would budge almost out of the green and into the yellow. Came home last night to find that UPS delivered my PSM cool hose kit and Amsoil Ea air filter, 30 minutes later I had everything installed. Took the truck out on the road and floored it every chance I could, Got home and popped the hood... . The minder didn't even move a 1000th of an inch! Obviously the design of the airbox is more for fit and ease of manufacturing than for functionality.
