I think the spring in my filter minder broke. When I push the button on the top nothing happens.

Where can you get these?

Thanks,

Blake

If the minder hasn't measured any restriction it won't do anything when you push the button. Are you saying yours is stuck in the middle of it's range?

It's stuck all the way down and will not raise when the button is pressed.

I'll try NAPA. I know a lot of farm and construction machinery has them.

Thanks,

Blake

Better get a new filter too!:-laf :p Oo.

I crack me up, mudst be the pain meds...

Seriously, has the minder pulled down before? Did you remove the duct between the fender and the air box?

Hard for me to picture the spring breaking, you like to bark your turbo Blake? I'll bet that the button is just somehow stuck. If all else fails there is a Dodge p/n right on it.

Put your paw in the way of the air intake on the box and just before the grissly beast eats your arm, it'll peg the filter minder. :D

donaldson makes filter minders. find a place that sells donaldson products and you are set. .

now, i if i could find or get a gauge made for cheep that works like this one i thought ofair filter gauge i would be a happy camper

It usually runs about half way and returns nice when the button is pushed.

Mine did!

I've removed the duct, and cheesed the box. The filter minder moved halfway down pulling the trailer, reset ran the truck not pulling the trailer and it moved halfway down. Changed the filter today and haven't run the truck yet.

However, I re-sealed the filter with grease on both sides, this seems to be a big deal with my air box. May it will help with yours stg2500.

BTW I'm working on the sig. It should read:

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving

safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside,

thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting "Wow, what a ride!!!".

Driftwood , '96 3500 slammed (2/4drop) Piped, EGT and boost. Alloys X4.

Stranger, it's hard to tell but, um, I'm guessing you making a little over 300 hp like Blakers (and I), that would affect the air flow thing... I see a BHAF or Mega Cannon in your future.

On one of my trips to Cummins the main service tech told me not to trust the filter minder. I didnt use it anyways as i changed it twice a year or more if i am on dusty roads:)
