Scotty II Install and Noise

DTT torque converter ratings

I have a little problem with an oil leak. I installed the Amsoil dual bypass about 3 years back and I now can't seem to keep the aluminum block on the old filter mount tight. Today I was under the truck looking to install the steering box fix and noticed the leak again. I thought I had it fixed but it's lose again. Does anyone know of any other block for the filter spot? This Amsoil type doesn't want to stay tight. Or either just how tight is that thing supposed to be?

I had the exact same problem with my setup. TDR member CPFF (John Strenkowski) makes available THE (IMHO) bulletproof solution with his billet aluminum adapter along with stainless steel braided hoses.

Though it may seem a little pricey, it WILL cure the problem, and looks very trick. I've had the setup on my truck for over 100000 mi. and have had NO problems.

I have drilled a small hole in the alluminum, where it sticks up above the unit. then I use a small diameter "safety wire", and secure it to the oil boss by twisting the wire and pulling on the adapter in the direction of "tight". This will hold it in position. I have done this on several trucks this way.

Preston, TStinson is correct! I too have a trick billet aluminum oil filter adapter from "CPFF" (John Strenkowski)... although, I made up my own Aeroquip Teflon/braided stainless steel hoses (this was prior to John selling the hose kits). What an awesome piece! You will absolutely kick yourself for not knowing about this high quality assembly sooner!

Also, you can orient the inlet/outlet ports to facilitate other accessories, your desires, phase of the moon... just kidding about the last one

Awesome part! Don't leave home without it!

:D

Did I mention that John also sells a pretty slick battery mount setup for the Amsoil Dual Remote Bypass oil filtration system?

DISCLAIMER: Although it may in fact sound like it, I am in no way affiliated with CPFF in his quality accessories... just a happy customer! :D

I second ( or third it atleast) the billet adaptor that John makes. I also recondmend the battery box mount and SS hoses he makes.

I recently went to a single by pass so i have an adaptor and SS lines for sale ( also a dual by pass too) I modified the battery box to fit the single by pass set up. The adaptor worked flawlessly for many miles with no leaks and it is a VERY high quality piece of work.
