Scotty Air II or Mega Cannon?

Poll: Pre or Post Turbo Gauge

thanks everyone i'm pretty sure i'm going the the AFE drop in filter. Last question cause this is what i want just about stock sound level from the airbox but with better flow and cleaning ability is this what AFE will give? Just don't want a loud turbo i want as close to stock as possable thats why i want a drop in so how much louder than stock will be the AFE drop in?

JUst got rid of my 12. sec WRX for this truck so turbo noise is something i'm use to and love but as in driving eveyrday just don't want it to be louder than now or very little louder. thanks you guys your the best, i'm starting to really like this board good knowledge and great friendly feed back. like to see a local meet soon something close to CT

Seems any filter that flows more air also flows more sound, doesn't really matter much if it's in the stock box or not as long as you don't cut a 4. 5'' hole though your firewall.

Friend went from a drop in K&N to a Mega-Cannon, no real difference in sound.

i have a document showing the pg7 flowing @ 698 cfm and the mega force flowing @ 850 cfm at 1. 5" h2o. that equates to the proguard 7 flowing 18% less than the mega. afe and geno's claim 10% when in actuality it is nearly 20% more restrictive than the mega.

what i'm trying to say: it filters better (supposedly - if you BELIEVE what they say), but it doesn't flow like what you may be used to or what you may be looking for in the area of flow.

it troubles me how you can not get a straight answer or the FACTS from some manufacturers/vendors
