Northern MIchigan Meet & Eat

Roundup Sunday Oct 1st Quaker Steak&Lube in Madison 12pm

This is our second year of Diesel Drag racing at the Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin. Again this year you will compete in the Diesel Hot Rod Association national points series. A DHRA membership is required, and can be obtained at the track. Here is a link to the DHRA site for information on that. We will have a total of seven races where we will accumulate points for our own championship and payout. You may even win both! Sign up for email updates from Great Lakes Dragaway here.

These are bracket-races where everyone has an equal chance of winning, no matter how fast their truck is. Each race there will be a payout of $200 plus 70% of all entry fees with payouts going to the winner, runner up, and semi-finalists. Additionally the fastest time of the day will get a payout. (Time must be recorded during elimination round. )

Saturday September 30th

These are our last of seven races. We are planning a big party. Come on out and have some fun! Due to a rain out in August, we will run two races on the same day! You will not be required to run both, but why not? Two races, two payouts! Too much fun! We will have the grill fired up for fun in-between. The Torque Ally Tap will be open for fun afterwards!

Gates open 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Eliminations start around 1:00 PM

Second race time will depend on how many trucks show up. Race fee's will not change, so if you want to race twice you pay twice.

$50. 00 to race with 70% going to payout at these races.

$12. 00 for spectators

I'll try getting down there as a spectator. Theres no way I'm going to run a stock truck with a confused slushbox on the track. Now unless you could hook me up with some goodies for a REAL good price :D :D LOL It was worth a try.

From what I am hearing, this (Saturday 9/30) should be the best turnout ever for one of our races! Jim, Tammie, and everyone else, come on down! We are going to have a cook out between race one and race two. With a big turn out we should have a huge payout. Everyone is welcome racing or not, but this being bracket racing there is not excuse not to race. It is fun, and the more the merrier! :p

Saturday is looking pretty good right now. Sunday will be the rain day just in case.

Saturday: Mostly Cloudy. 40% Chance for Showers. Highs Low 60s.

Sunday: Becoming Partly Sunny. High: Mid 60s.

Today’s update;

Saturday: Mostly Cloudy With Scattered Showers. High: 62.

Sunday: Partly Sunny and Warmer. High: 68. Slight Chance for A Thunderstorm Late Sunday Night/Early Monday Morn.

Think positive. Hopefully we can get it in on Saturday. Everyone please show up as soon as you can. I spoke with the track about the rain day being Sunday, and they want us to start the eliminations earlier on Saturday if we can. They will open the gates at 9:00 AM, so if everyone is there we can start our first race by noon. Plan to be there by 10:00 AM.

This is from the track’s web site.
