Let's talk riding lawnmowers for a minute

Off Road Racing

I found a 2003 Silver Honda Goldwing used with only 3K miles on it at the local dealer. I got the deal I wanted, and now it is sitting in the garage.

This is the first time I have been on a bike in about 20 years, so the learning curve is high at this point. I have ridden it up the street, and did a few turns without crashing it, so it looks good so far. I am in no hurry to hit the fast road until I have the confidence to handle this big bike. The safety course is in 3 weeks.

The wifes reaction is another post... .

Hope I dont get flammed by Harley Owners... cause I used to ride one and love them... but Wings are the ultimate bike in my opinion. Rode with a guy who had a 1996 SE Goldwing and it was one powerful smooth machine. I loved it and loved riding it. They truely are ultra cruzers and I wouldn't go long distances on anything but a Goldwing.

To be honest with ya. When I was in Kuwait, they were selling Harleys for pretty good prices. I asked about a Vrod, but all they had were 04 models, and I didnt want to wait. The purchase was through the PX system.

I cought some grief at the sales table by a Harley owner.

Me to the sales guy. . Do you sell Hondas too?

Harley guy looking at the brochures. . What do you want a Honda for?

Me. . Because I already have one vehicles that leaks oil on my driveway!

That pretty much ended that discussion. .
