comrades

2018 2500

47,000 k

took truck in because of unscheduled week off

engine hours gone last summer
oil leak ( third time taken in for this )
clutch saftey switch inoperative ( due to wires not being secured properly during clutch replacement )

they did a great job fixing my truck. FINALLY.
after blaming my oil leak on oil filter 2x , they replaced the oil cooler o rings.
clutch and hydraulics were replaced at 6k
the wires fell behind clutch pedal, and in nebraska at 2 am in middle of nowhere i depressed clutch pedal and tore wires out of assembly. yay. made a jumper and got home....

they fixed that too.

3rd hydraulic assembly in truck so far.

the engine hour thing - told me no fix for that but its common. ram is aware. working on a fix.

funny, i bought manual truck to avoid transmission issues....

boulder ram, boulder co. THANK YOU.

just sharing the experience people

cheers - :)

Was this a different dealer than the last poor quality repairs or different tech?
same dealer. since they were the ones who had done the clutch in the first place, i figured i had the best chance of them fixing the hydraulic assembly and ripped wires. dunno if it was the same tech. the place was not busy, which might have had something to do with it. cheers fellas!

Every once an while find good service at friendly Ram dealer!:)

I like mine in Fort Myers. I think a lot of it is because of the excellent Service Writer who only deals with Diesels. That's all he does..... Diesels. And he's demanding of his Techs.

Service Writers can make a Tech's life very miserable if they want to so it's not a good idea to cross them.

A lot of Dealers are small enough that they just don't sell, or work on, a lot of Diesels. It helps to use one that has a lot of experience working on them. Some of the 'smaller' ones migh do nothing but Diesels. Like, in a Rural setting. While some 'big' ones might mix them all together and get a Kia Tech working on your Ram CTD.

But I won't be seeing them any time soon. My warranty got destroyed.

I can testify to having a great dealership, a great service writer, and great customer support for the past 20 years. Same salesman, Dave Fuller. retired USAF who averaged between 20 and 30 sales per month. And I've had the same service writer, Colby, who ALWAYS turns and burns our vehicles, only praise for the entire time.

BTW, dealership is Bluebonnet Motors in New Braunfels TX.

Cheers, Ron

That IS funny. I hear people griping about Chrysler automatics all the time..........while fighting clutch/failed DMF's, etc. :D

yes its funny and ironic....i have had manual subarus with 300k. no issues...then i buy the last manual ram made and the clutch fails at 6000 miles. just how my luck goes. had a 2500 with the 6.4 in it and the trans drove me crazy, so bought the cummins with g56. happy fri yay ! :)

Friends/Comrades,

Comrade definition:
- a companion who shares one's activities or is a fellow member of an organization.

-a fellow socialist or communist (often as a form of address).

I take it as friend not the socialist defiition. Not trying to piss in the punch here, but comrade is a nice term for friendship with a common interest.

Cheers Comrades! Ron

It really is too bad our educational system is completely worthless.

The word 'comrade' is most often used in this Country by communist/socialist/whatever SJW du jour Cadre and their sympathizers. Not saying anybody in here is a communist revolutionary, I'm just saying that is what comes to MY mind when I hear the word.

But that's me. What do I know? I just helped write a book on the topic 50 years ago. Back when Hal Draper was actually read by people. The Two Souls was actually an excellent read if you like that sort of thing. I read it mostly because I had to. Along with Bernard Fall (street without joy), Mao (an idiot), Lenin (brilliant) Stalin (a psycopath) Pyotr aka; Peter Kropotkin (typical Russian, ask him what time it is and he tells you how to make a watch), Marx (subhuman intelligence), Engels, (brilliant but unable to tie his own shoes) etc. And Marx's response to Bauer's The Jewish Question. Hegel, who was very confusing. I'll remember more as time goes on but I should spare you that.

Cadre:

For revolutionary socialists (Including Leninists), and some anarchists, a cadre is a group of committed, active, and experienced intellectuals who share political beliefs and participate in the revolutionary movements they see the most promise in. It can also refer to a member of said group

Cadre is a very general term, and refers to many positions within the communist bureaucracy, in addition to agitators, cadres were also responsible for the logistical aspects of collectivization, such as collecting quotas and getting people to join the collectives, as well as policing the state and making sure citizens were “good communists”.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadre_(politics)

I don't believe this entry in Wiki is very well done. For one thing, the plural of 'cadre' is 'cadre'. No 's'. And most cadre weren't intellectiuals at all. Most were working class and many were peasants or serfs. Especially the more brutal.

So you fellow 'comrades' just enjoy the snot out of yourselves. Giggle it up. It won't be too long until it becomes official anyway.
