Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Finally, a reason for me to post here!

This afternoon I pick up my 'new' truck. It's a 2001 2500 Quad Cab, 2WD, 6-speed. 47,000 miles. Tomorrow I make the 1200 mile trip back home. Hopefully the trip will be uneventful. My '92 was BOMBed when I got it, this one is not. Have to try to prevent myself from becoming my own warranty station... .

Congratulations on the new truck!! Before you start your return trip, are you sure you have a good lift pump on the truck? Other than that, I wouldn't be concerned.

I tried to get an adapter to check it before I left home to fly out, but couldn't.

Cypress, TX - I'm staying at the Wingate Inn on Mills Rd. I'm in the Houston area for business. I don't know what the major road is that I can see from here - there's a Burlington Coat Factory across the street. Small world.



Prehaps there's a place around here I can get an adaptor from to check the lift pump before I leave tomorrow?
