Attention: TDR Forum Junkies It felt good to be able to turn my TST back on. Its been a while since I had a clutch that would hold it. So far, now I do. I installed a full ceramic 12 button clutch last night that I got from John at Texas Diesel Power.
I have not got many miles on it yet, but it has held level 6 so far. There are some goods and bads of it though. It does seem like it is going to hold, but in return there is lots of noise that come from the ceramic buttons when its idling in neutral. Its pretty loud, and annoying. When you are in gear its fine, just does it when in neutral with the clutch out.
The install went well. Got it out, had the flywheel ground the next day, and back in that night. I would call it a success.
It is a little noisier, the pedal is a little harder to push and it is a little more grabby than stock, but I think that it will work very well for me and my application.
I will run it a while, more updates to come.
